A Great Time!—To Tackle the Hard Stuff
Most groups stage their annual events to drive membership and raise some money around themes that are fun and uplifting. It makes sense…. This year we took a risk, taking on a tough subject for the theme to this annual summit—where of course our goal was to gather old and new friends who want to have fun, but who also want to take action together to save our great state and country. And yes, we hoped to raise some money to fuel the work.
This year we chose to tackle the very serious topic of ‘gender affirming care’, and what it’s doing to our kids. Not enough is being exposed to show the very dark and tragic side of what many well-meaning people think is “compassion” for kids who struggle. The problem is, ‘Compassion’ minus Reality equals Abuse. And kids targeted for this compassion are suffering.
Something this important needs to be center stage. But what kind of crowd would come out, gather with friends, hear the truth and then take it on with energy and drive?!... It’s YOU—all the nearly 300 Arizona Women of Action (and some men of action) who came out to our Back to Reality Summit last Thursday night!
We sparked energy together for the work that needs to be done, because it NEEDS to be done, and we’re the women to do it…. We had fun and raised more money than we have before at one of our summits. (Almost $17,000—PLUS a matching gift of up to $25,000!) That’s kudos to all you amazing friends—and why we need to gather more of us into the fun that comes from tackling the tough mission to protect kids and revive schools in Arizona.
Check out this short video of how we’re going to Take Back Reality in 2024, now with 20,000 followers and growing,
Our keynote speaker was Chloe Cole, probably the most well-known de-transitioner in America for her testimony before US Congress and her lawsuit against the hospital and doctors who pushed her through chemical and surgical alterations. But sadly, Chloe’s story is less and less rare. She’s only 19 years old, but she told her story in sensitive detail, with remarkable poise, explaining how she (at age 11) and her parents were manipulated into a false religion of gender ideology which labeled her normal teen angst as something requiring permanent and irreversible bodily deformity.
Then our panel of experts came on to discuss the background of this issue:
Trent Langhofer, PhD
Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in treatment of childhood trauma, sexual dysfunction, depression, anxiety and other issues
Jason Evert
Theologian, speaker and best-selling author of 20 books, including "Male, Female, Other?: A Catholic Guide to Understanding Gender"
Michael J. Miller, M.D.
Section Chief of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Banner MD Anderson, Phoenix
Former Founding Chair, Dept. Of Plastic Surgery, Ohio State University College of Medicine--resigned over pressure to perform transgender surgery
Their perspective was truly eye-opening. They revealed the cultural shifts, the lies infiltrating the medical, psychological and counseling standards, the money involved, and they assured us that there are, indeed, only TWO sexes. They left us with advice for dealing with this issue within our own families and friends.
Our audience was so engaged, you could have heard a pin drop in that room of nearly 300 people.
The one comment we heard more than any other was, “Thank you so much for taking this subject head on.”
We also heard: “The event was empowering and a true eye opener. The sexualization of our children is a crime that should concern every parent in America.” – Denise
“This event was great! Full of passion and clarity.” – Kathy
“I can’t tell you how grateful we are that you guys are taking on this issue in such a big way… thank you again for stepping up in so many ways to save our children.” – Susan
We want to again thank all of YOU, whether you were able to come to our summit or not. Your dedication to reading our emails, SPEAKING UP through the petitions, RTS comments on bills, and the actions we send you each week, SHOWING UP with us out there at the important events in AZ. And of course, THANK YOU for SUPPORTING this critical work!
Let’s keep building our movement together! If you can help us max out our generous matching gift, please donate here by Friday!
We’ve got work to do! Let’s get it done for our kids. And we’ll gain friends and energy while doing it! ~ Kim
