“Gender-Affirming Care” Hurts the Most Vulnerable Kids
There’s so much confusion around the issue of gender and sexuality. Well-meaning people want to help the struggling kids who are ‘questioning’ or rejecting the sex they were born in. But is “gender-affirming care” really about helping the child? Or is it about something else? Let’s just be honest and look at the facts so we REALLY help struggling kids.
To be clear, Arizona Women of Action has compassion for EVERY child and family involved in these gender-obsessed times we live in. There must be grace, understanding and respect for EVERY child. Period. … Which is why we don’t understand why those who advocate for gender-confused kids refuse to see the horrible physical and emotional harm done to them by the medical community, and also the many educators and even parents who promote surgical or chemical ‘transitioning’. Why don’t they first exhaust every effort to help the child “affirm the gender” they were born in?
We have to admit there’s a LOT of money in the gender transition business of surgeries and hormone blockers. But they will often tell you it’s needed to help prevent suicide or other self-harm.
The American College of Pediatricians exposes the truth by “Deconstructing Transgender Pediatrics”. “Experts claim medical intervention is life saving; this is a lie. There is not a single long term study to demonstrate the safety or efficacy of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries for transgender-believing youth. This means that youth transition is experimental, and therefore, parents cannot provide informed consent, nor can minors assent to these interventions. Moreover, the best long-term evidence we have among adults shows that medical intervention fails to reduce suicide.1”
“Americans are being led astray by a medical establishment driven by a dangerous ideology and economic opportunity, not science and the Hippocratic Oath. The suppression of normal puberty, the use of disease-causing cross-sex hormones and the surgical mutilation and sterilization of children constitute atrocities to be banned, not healthcare.”

Stop letting people get away with saying they ‘care’ with all this ‘gender-affirming care’ of kids who are seriously hurting. Parents know their kids best and have the most invested in their entire future. When we learn a little about this issue we’ll be more confident and compassionate to truly help the most vulnerable kids.
