When our great state shows off during major events like the Super Bowl and the Waste Management Open, more people will want to move here. It’s not just about the weather and the friendly people, though. We remain one of the strongest states to thrive in economically, based on real gross domestic product (GDP) and personal income.

We want a system that serves families, students and teachers—not unions, bloated spending and political interests:

spoke with a Peoria mom last year who was outraged at what her child was learning in school. The homework included sexually explicit curriculum, assignments asking children for their pronouns, and so much more. She wanted her voice to be heard but had no idea where to begin. So she started researching, learning the rules, and attending school board meetings. She believed so strongly in her convictions that eventually she decided to run for school board. Don’t let the calendar fool you. This is an election year, and on the ballot is something even more pivotal than WHO wins the seats of the 2024 federal, state and local elections. What’s at stake is WHAT fills the hearts and minds of citizens. Cast the right vision, and you won’t need to target them as ‘voters’. You’ll already have Advocates and Ambassadors for Americanism.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. embodies the vision of the quintessential “American Dream”. His beliefs were profoundly “American” at their core. Maybe that’s why many on the left are distorting his legacy by teaching children to equate him with the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

During the 2021-22 school year I’d been hearing about parents finding books and materials at their children’s school on gender identity. I thought that would never happen at my kids’ school. We live in Chandler, part of Chandler Unified School District (CUSD80). Our district ranks an A+, as well as our school, Carlson Elementary. Andy Morgan, the principal, was fairly new in his role, and I had always thought he did a good job.

We’ve said goodbye to 2022. We’re putting away the decorations while vowing to lose those pounds from all that cheese and dessert in December. Now it’s time to take stock and look ahead-- for our families, our Arizona, and our country.

Be encouraged! Things may seem bleak in education, politics and culture, but we can look back on 2022 and see we’ve actually changed the tide in Arizona. Many of you were not involved at all in the public square a few years ago. How our lives have changed! Each of you have a powerful role on a Team to Save The World (like The Avengers)! I watched a school board meeting where the public was given time to speak on the woke curricula, and lack of transparency. One after another angry parent went to the podium and ranted. Many were right on, and I was yelling, “YESS!” after their testimony.

If we’re going to find the vision and heart necessary to revive Americanism, now is the time to learn from mistakes and successes in the last election.

History has shown that if the Church remains silent and shirks her responsibility to instill and guard godly values in our community, we ultimately will become captive and silenced by spiritual forces that work through those who oppose God’s Spirit and His truth.

Even though I was raised in a loving, conservative home, and first registered to vote as a Republican, I switched to Democrat. Why? Partly out of pressure (basically bullied by my husband), but also, like many others, I had heard liberals were the compassionate ones, concerned about protecting the rights of others.

To all my friends who are long-standing Republicans, or Independents who lean conservative, please listen. Some of you are saying you won’t vote for one or another Republican candidate because they are “crazy”. I find this to be shallow, lazy thinking.

We’re not supposed to drive while distracted. So why do people vote that way?! Don’t be too busy with errands and important tasks that we elect bad politicians who make a wreck of our everyday life. Let’s remember, the politicians who we vote into office will have the steering wheel of our lives for the near future!

Believe it or not, many Republican voters are saying they cannot tell the difference between what Democrat or Republican candidates are saying about the issues. (I’m hearing this from average people who have been voting Republican all their lives, though they aren’t as engaged as probably most subscribers to this newsletter.) They’ve said basically: “Candidates all seem to care about the same issues. They all say they’re ‘going to fix the border’, for example. So, what’s the difference?”

The Democrat Party of today is NOT “Liberal”. John F Kennedy was a Liberal. He would be kicked out of Democrat circles today. The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Liberal. Most college campuses would cancel Dr. King with angry protests. Today’s Democrats are driving a very different future—one of ‘soft’ Totalitarianism, a form of re-imagined Communist Marxism.

Are you considering voting for a Democrat, or not voting for the Republican because you think they’re crazy?

If you’re someone who votes according to the “candidate I like”, rather than the political party, consider what RESULTS your vote will bring to America, Arizona and your family. A candidate’s likability and respectfulness mean nothing if their actions bring destruction.

Distinctions are good—like when appreciating our various backgrounds, and especially when distinguishing good ideas from bad ideas. But Division is a different thing. The Left uses anger, fear, race, gender and class to separate us. “Identity politics” reduce people into “tokens”--useful for a Leftist, totalitarian vision. But that is NOT America.
